KHULNA, July 23, 2018 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) today
accorded reception to three cricketers of Women’s T20 Asia Cup winning
Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team, including its captain Salma Khatun.
The two others members of the squad are Rumana Ahmed and Ayasha Rahman
Shuktara.
Mayor of KCC Moniruzzaman Mony handed over bouquets, crests and cash to
them at Shaheed Altaf auditorium here.
Congratulating the Women Asian Cup T-20 champion for their outstanding
performance, the Mayor said the tigress delighted the nation as well as
uphold dignity of Bangladesh.
Chief engineer of KCC Palash Kanti Bala chaired the function while
Director of BSS Begum Ferdousi Ali, president of Khulna Football Association
Saiful Islam, panel mayor of KCC Ruma Khatun, president of sports standing
committee of KCC councilor Gias Uddin Bony, general secretary of Women Sports
Association of Khulna Halima Islam and coach of women cricket team Imtiaz
Hossain Pilu, among others, spoke on the occasion.
