The observation came at a press briefing titled ”District Branding, Kishore Batayan Competition, Human Development Media and Search for Innovators” here Monday.
District Information Office organized the briefing at conference hall of Deputy Commissioner in association with district administration and Access to Information (A2I) Programme of Prime Minister’s Office.
Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif, Deputy Director of Local Government division Parvej Raihan, Additional District Magistrate Subrata Paul and Additional Deputy Commissioners Md Shalahuddin and Nasima Khatun addressed the press briefing.
Deputy Director of District Information Office Md Shamsuzzaman presented a concept paper on the topic.
Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif said ‘Silk Heaven Rajshahi’ is the brand name of Rajshahi as the city’s silk has a tradition across the country since immemorial time.
Many people both at home and abroad know Rajshahi as birth place of silk and its industries so the brand name is very much meaningful and significant.
He urged the newsmen to find out the young innovators and disseminate their innovations for developing digital Bangladesh.
The dc also urged them to give any innovative ideas of providing services to people within shortest possible time side by side with developing the Kishore Batayan.
Helal Mahmud discussed about the successes already achieved in implementation of the a2i Programme and Vision 2021 to attain sustainable development goals.
