Palak for ensuring transparency while disbursing govt grants

DHAKA, May 12, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak today stressed the need for ensuring transparency and accountability in delivering all government grants to the people.

“Strict actions would be taken against those involved in any irregularities and corruption in the allocation of government’s grants,” he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a function organized by the upazila administration at Singra Upazila Parishad hall room to distribute assistance worth Tk 16.65 lakh in favor of religious and educational institutions, according to a press release.

He urged all concerned to be vigilant about irregularities and inconsistencies in the allocation distribution process.

The government has implemented various projects for the development of mosques, madrasas and cemeteries.

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, successor of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is working hard for the development of Islam,” he added.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samirul Islam presided over the programme while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakibul Islam, Awami League religious affairs secretary Maulana Ruhul Amin were present, among others.
