DHAKA, May 06, 2021 (BSS) – A team of Rangpur Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate seized fake band roll of Tk 2.17 crore from a Rangpur-bound microbus on Wednesday night.
Rangpur VAT Commissioner Shawkat Ali Saadi confirmed the matter to BSS today.
The commissioner said, a team of Commissionerate took position at the China intersection in Rangpur city on Friday night on the basis of secret information.
At that time, a microbus came from Bogra to China mor, the members of the team searched the vehicle and arrested two persons including the driver of the microbus and seized 40 packets of fake band rolls worth about Tk 2.16 crore from the microbus.
They also seized the microbus, said Shawkat Ali Saadi, Vat commissioner of Rangpur.
