Road accident kills five in Narsingdi
NARSINGDI, July 20, 2018 (BSS)- Five persons were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a laguna in Konderpara area on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway of Shibpur upazila in the district today.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound “Ena Paribahan” from Sylhet collided head-on with the Morjal-bound Laguna coming from Dream Holiday Park near Patchdona at about 9 pm, leaving two persons dead on the spot and 13 others critically injured.
Three of the injured died on the way to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.
On information, police recovered two bodies from the spot and sent those to the sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was field with Shibpur police station in the connection.
