Ctg traders demand financial support to run business smoothly

CHATTOGRAM, April 19, 2021 (BSS) – Business owners and traders today urged the government to allocate Taka 15,000 crore for small and medium business entrepreneurs in Chattogram to continue business amid COVID-19 pandemic.

They also demanded to open the markets from April 22 at the same time. Leaders of the Sammilito Businessman organization in Chattogram made the demand at a press conference held at Chattogram Press Club on Monday (April 19).

The business leaders said without financial incentives, they would not be able run business for a long time. So, it is urgent to offer special financial package to continue business during the pandemic.

The leaders of businessmen also said that they will have to pay salary to their workers and Eid bonus for March, April and May.

President of Chattogram Shop Owners Association Saleh Ahmed Soleiman, its Senior Vice President Haji Mohammad Sahabuddin and other leaders of the organization were present at the press conference.
