BRAHMANBARIA, April 18, 2021 (BSS) – Police in separate drives last night arrested 30 more Hefazat-e-Islam activists from different parts of the district in connection with the cases filed on March 26, 27 and 28 mayhem.
A press release of the district police this morning said with this, the total number of Hefazat activists, the arrestees now stands at 298 in the district for the party’s mayhem.
Officer-in-Charge of district special police Imtiaz Ahmed said they detained Hefazat men after analyzing video footage and pictures.
The press release also said a total of 55 cases were filed with different police stations of the district over Hefazat mayhem on March 26, 27 and 28.
A total of 49 cases were filed with Sadar Thana, four with Ashuganj Thana and two were filed with Sarail Thana.
