Abdul Matin Khasru’s janza to be held at SC premises tomorrow

DHAKA, 14 April, 2021 (BSS) – The Namaz-e-Janaza of Abdul Matin
Khasru, former Law Minister and President of Supreme Court Bar
Association, will be held at 10 am at the Supreme Court premises
tomorrow.

Advocate Atiqur Rahman Khan, a member of the Abdul Matin Khasru and
Associates, confirmed the matter, saying: “His first Janaza will be
held at Bakshi Bazar Alia Madrasa ground in the city after Fazr
prayers tomorrow. The second janza will be held at Bangladesh Supreme
Court premises at 10 am.”

His third Namaj-e-Janaza will be held after Zohar prayers at
Burichang Upazila Sadar in Cumilla and last one after Asr prayers at
Brahmanpara Upazila Sadar, he added.

Khasru breathed his last around 4:45pm today while undergoing
treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, said Advocate
Shamim Khan, a member of Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru and Associates.

He was put on life support yesterday at the CMH as his health
condition deteriorated.

The five-time lawmaker from Cumilla-5 constituency gave sample for
Covid-19 test on March 15 and on March 16 he was tested positive for
coronavirus and admitted to CMH.

He was elected SCBA president for 2021-2022 on March 11.
