DHAKA, April 14, 2021 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of her party’s Presidium Member, former Law Minister, and veteran freedom fighter Abdul Matin Khasru.
In a message of condolence, she said, “Abdul Matin, newly elected President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, will remain alive in the hearts of the people as an eminent lawyer and leader of the masses.”
The premier said that he (Khasru) made valuable contributions to flourishing the country’s legal and judicial system.
She added: “We have lost a leader of the people and a soldier of Bangabandhu’s ideals who had played responsible role during the trials of various nationally important cases including the assassination of Father of the Nation and worked with efficiency to establish justice.”
The Prime Minister also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
