1,25,000 2nd dose COVID -19 vaccine reach Khulna

KHULNA, April 7, 2021 (BSS) – Some 1,25,000 second dose COVID-19 vaccine reached here today for administering in the city as elsewhere in the district tomorrow .

Khulna Civil surgeon (CS) Dr Newaz Mohammad received 1,25,000 doses of Coronavirus vaccine at his office this noon.

Talking to BSS, the CS Newaz Mohammad said, people who took first jab on February 7 and 8 they will get second dose tomorrow (April 8) though they do not receive any SMS till today.

He also said, people who took first dose inoculation, they will take second dose vaccine after showing previous registration card at their respective hospital as per their scheduled date.

A total of 1, 67,553 people including 68,241 female got first dose of vaccine in Khulna from February 7 to April 6 , he said.

“We will roll out the vaccination campaign at 14 booths, including five booths at KMCH and nine more booths at each of the other nine upazila health complexes in Khulna as per guidelines of the government,” he said.

COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 7, after Khulna City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the programme by getting inoculation at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) in the city.
