CHATTOGRAM, July 18, 2018 (BSS)-Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) and Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up software technology park in Chattogram.
Managing Director of BHTPA Hosne Ara Begum and Chief Executive Officer of CCC Md. Shamsudoha signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at a hotel here where officials and experts highlighted different aspects for establishing and successful implementation of high-tech parks.
CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin addressed the function as the chief guest while Managing Director of Chattogram WASA Engineer AKM Fazlullah, Automation Director of Chattogram University Professor Dr Mohammad Hanif and acting Project Director of BHTPA Azizul Islam, among others, spoke.
Nasir said in line with the plan to build Digital Bangladesh by 2021, the government is using ICT for improving productivity, governance, and service delivery.
Praising Bangladesh’s contribution to ICT, he said the ICT has enhanced the country’s image in the international arena.
He said the Hi-Tech Park will be established on six to eleven floor of Singapur-Bankok market of Agrabad commercial area at a cost of Taka 30 crore.
The construction work will begin in August next and it will be completed by 2019.
