DHAKA, July 17, 2018 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed
Nasim today launched a call center to give free advice on family planning,
mother and child health, adolescent health, emergency maternity service and
stopping child marriage.
People can avail the service by just dialing 16767 from their mobile
phones 24/7.
Health Minister Nasim inaugurated the call center at Directorate General
of Family Planning in capital’s Karwanbazar area.
“Bangladesh is doing wonders under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina. Progress that took place in health sector here is being acclaimed by
the world. We have achieved self-sufficiency in food. Maternal and child
mortality rates have gone down significantly,” Nasim said while addressing
the inaugural function.
The minister also distributed five ambulances for five district hospitals
after the programme.
