Beautification work of IU Lake inaugurated
ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, July 17, 2018 (BSS) – Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari today inaugurated the work on beautification of the university’s lake.
IU Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr M Selim Toha, Proctor Professor Dr M Mahbubar Rahman, Convener of the University Beautification Committee Professor Dr M Zakaria Rahman, acting Chief Engineer M Alimuzzaman and Senior Sales Manager of Akij Group Nasim Hasan Pikul, among others, were present.
The beautification work of the lake will be ended after 3 years while more than Taka 3.5 crore will be needed for its completion, said M Alimuzzaman.
The work started with Taka 13 lakh of university own fund where Akij Group will provide the cost of 3 dangling bridges of the lake as the sponsor, he added.
