DHAKA, July 17, 2018 (BSS) – Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam today distributed government donation among 122 mosques at a function at Al Hera Community Centre at Kamrangichar here.
Kamrangichar Thana Awami League President Haji Md Abul Hossain chaired the function while imams and olamas of local mosques attended the function.
Qamrul urged the imams and khatibs of mosques to create awareness among people against the drug abuse, terrorism and militancy by giving positive sermons after the Jumma prayers on every Friday.
The minister said the government has taken a zero tolerance policy against drug abuse as it has become a serious threat in society.
Highlighting different achievements of the incumbent government, he urged the people to vote in favour of Awami League for the continuation of the pace of development.
He expressed his hope that BNP will join the next parliamentary election and it will be competitive one.
