Winning start for Bangladesh in Tri-Nation Cup

DHAKA, March 23, 2021 (BSS)- It was an impressive performance by Bangladesh as they made a winning start in the Tri-Nation Cup beating strong Kyrgyzstan Olympic Football team by 1-0 goal held today at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.

In the day’s match, none of the player could not score any goal for Bangladesh in the match but Bangladesh took the lead in the 30th minute through a suicidal goal by Kumarbaj Uulu Bajaman, who sent the ball to his own net after he failed to clear a cross taken by Saad Uddin in the danger zone.

After the breather, both the teams launched attacks and counter attacks but failed to convert any goal. Sohel Rana became the man of the match for his impressive performance and received USD 250.

Bangladesh will now play their second match against tournament favorite Nepal on March 27 at the same venue. In the last match Bangladesh will be needed only one point to confirm their spot of final. On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan will play their must win match against Nepal on Thursday (March 25) to keep their hope of final birth alive.

Through the day’s match between Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan Olympic team the international football is back the main Dasharath stadium to Nepal after six years.
