Tokyo stocks rise for third straight session
TOKYO, July 17, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Tokyo stocks rose for a third straight
session on Tuesday as the yen remained cheaper against the dollar, with
worries over a US-China trade war receding.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.44 percent or 100.01 points to close
at 22,697.36, while the broader Topix index was up 0.87 percent or 14.98
points at 1,745.05.
