Water levels of 24 rivers rise, 64 fall

DHAKA, Oct 6, 2017 (BSS) – The Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) has marked rise of water level at 24 river stations and decrease at 64 stations.

Among the 90 monitored water level stations, no river is above danger
level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said today.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna, Ganges and Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in falling trend while the Padma river is in steady state.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is likely to continue falling in the next 24 hours.

The Ganges river is likely to continue falling while the Padma river is likely to remain steady in the next 24 hours.

The Surma and Kushiyara rivers are likely to continue falling the in next 72 hours.

No significant rainfall was recorded during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
