Verdict against 4 Moulvibazar war crimes accused tomorrow

DHAKA, July 16, 2018 (BSS) – The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) -1
today set tomorrow to pronounce judgement in crimes against humanity case
against four alleged war criminals from Rajnagar, Moulvibazar.

“Verdict tomorrow,” said Justice Md Shahinur Islam, chairman of the
three-member tribunal this morning in presence of one of the accused Akmal
Ali Talukder.

The three other accused Abdun Nur Talukder alias Lal Miah, Anis Miah and
Abdul Mosabbir are yet to be arrested and being tried in absentia.

The first tribunal on March 27 kept the verdict on CAV (Curia Advisari
Vult, a Latin legal term reserving judgment until some subsequent day) as the
hearing in the case ended on that day.

The tribunal on May 7, 2017, indicted the four, framing two charges of
crimes against humanity against them.
