Proper coordination for implementation of SNSP stressed

RANGPUR, July 15, 2018 (BSS) – Proper coordination could ensure accurate enlistment of the beneficiaries and successful implementation of the Safety Net System for Poorest (SNSP) Project to eliminate poverty from the society.

Government officials, public representatives and development activists expressed the identical view today at an interrelationship improvement meeting held at hall room of Doulatpur union parisahd under Fulbari upazila in Dinajpur.

Sponsored by the European Union, the World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) and ‘Pollishree’ organised the meeting under the “Establishing Vulnerable People’s Rights to Social Safety Net Programmes (EVPRA) project.

Fulbari Upazila Social Service Officer of the Department of Social Services Mohammad Akhteruzzaman addressed the meeting as the chief guest with Chairman of Doulatpur union parishad Md Abdul Aziz in the chair.

Project Coordinator of EVPRA project of “Pollishree’ Moynul Haque delivered presentation narrating project activities being conducted to enhance coordination among stakeholders to ensure proper enlistment of the beneficiaries for the SNSP.

Members of Doulatpur union parisahd Zakir Hossain, Anarul Islam, Akhter Banu and Noor Banu, Secretary of the union parisahd Nur Alam, Union Land Officer Nazrul Islam, addressed.

In his speech, Mohammad Akhteruzzaman suggested for better coordination to avoid overlapping in selection of beneficiaries to cut poverty for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

He called upon all concerned for making the government’s Safety Net System for the Poorest Project successful through ensuring proper implementation of the SSNPs to build a poverty-free Bangladesh.
