DU suspends 3 students
DHAKA, July 15, 2018 (BSS) – The Dhaka University (DU) authority today suspended its three students for attacking two other students on Saturday evening.
Confirming the matter, University Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani told BSS that the trio has been suspended from all academic activities of the university according to a primary investigation.
The decision was made on the basis of primary investigation over written allegation and watching CCTV footages. Further prove would be run to look into the matter, he added.
The suspended students were Sifat Ullah of women and gender studies department, Md Al Imran of Institute of Education and Research and Mahmudur Rahman of Institute of Modern Language.
Earlier on Saturday evening, some students beat up two students of Economics Department of Dhaka University in front of Surja Sen hall for roaming there holding each other’s hands.
A three-member committee was formed by the Surjo Sen hall authority to probe the incident.
