DHAKA, July 15, 2018 (BSS) – Posts, Telecommunications and Information
Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar today said we have to use talent and
technology appropriately to create employment for women.
“Much progress took place in terms of women education in the country, but
we need to do more for achieving target in women employment. It is not
possible to achieve desired development in the country by leaving huge number
of educated women jobless,” he said.
The minister came up with the observations while addressing a function
organised on the occasion of launching of country’s first women job
marketplace, the2hourjob.com.
The website is such a platform, where women can get job as per their
preference and experience sitting in their respective houses.
“A total of 1,950 women have registered with us under 47 categories so far.
This site will give opportunities to women in getting work sitting back in
their houses and also help different businesses the chance to hire workers in
affordable cost,” platform founder Sanzida Khandaker said.
