Water levels of 15 rivers rise, 73 fall

DHAKA, September 29, 2017 (BSS) – Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked the water levels at 15 river stations rise, 73 stations fall and two steady.

Among the 90 monitored water level stations, no river was flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued FFWC said today.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is in rising trend, while the Ganges-Padma and Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in falling trend.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is likely to continue rising in next 24
hours.

Meanwhile the Ganges-Padma river is likely to remain steady while the Surma-Kushiyara river is likely to continue falling in next 24 hours.

A total of 76 mm rainfall was recorded at Chittagong river station in last 24 hours till 6 am today.
