Bangladesh takes 171-run lead against Windies after Miraz’s four-for

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 5, 2021 (BSS)—Mehidy Hasan Miraz followed his maiden century with 4-58 with his wily off-spin as Bangladesh took a handy 171-run lead against West Indies in the first innings of the first Test here today.

West Indies was bowled out for 259 in their first innings in reply of Bangladesh 430 on day three game of the Test.

Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan bagged two wickets each to complement Miraz effort as the side was without the service of Shakib Al Hasan, who was out of the ground due to a fresh thigh injury.

West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite was the top-scorer for the side 76 while his deputy Jermaine Blackwood made 68. Joshua Da Silva added 42 and Kyle Mayers contributed 40 for West Indies.
