DHAKA, Feb 1, 2021 (BSS) – The 35th national poetry festival (Jatiya
Kabita Utsab) is likely to begin on March 18, the day of starting book
fair, this year.
“Every year we hold the festival at the beginning of February. This
year, we are thinking to commence the festival from March 18
considering the pandemic situation,” president of Jatio Kobita
Parishad (JKP) Dr Mohammad Somad told BSS.
Jatiya Kabita Parishad (JKP) organizes the two-day festival every
year on the central library premises of the Dhaka University.
The festival features elaborate programmes, including recitation of
poems, seminars, discussions and exhibitions on poets and poetry.
