DHAKA, Feb 1, 2021 (BSS) – Plan has been taken to arrange a 10-day special program from March 17, 2021 to March 26, 2021 marking the birth centenary celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The theme of the special programme will be ‘Eternal Bangabandhu’.
The information was reveled today at a virtual meeting of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee, said a press release.
Chairman of the National Implementation Committee and National Professor Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury moderated the zoom meeting.
The meeting was informed that as per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the programmes will be aired on television channels and online for avoiding public gatherings in the current situation of Covid-19.
The ten-day program will include discussions, cultural programs, audio-visual content and other presentations.
Among others, former minister AMA Muhith, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Youth and Sports M Jahid Ahsan Rasell and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, among others, joined the meeting.
