DHAKA, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – An inter-ministerial preparatory meeting was held at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy here today to mark the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2021.
The meeting was chaired by State Minister for Women and Children Affairs FazilatunNessa Indira, an official release said.
The meeting was informed that the 101st birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be celebrated on March 17, 2021.
At the initiative of the Ministry Of Women And Children Affairs, Bangabandhu’s birthday is being celebrated as National Children’s Day every year.
On March 17 this year, Bangabandhu’s Birth Anniversary and Children’s Day will be celebrated at Tungipara in Gopalganj and Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the capital respectively, the release added.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to join the event from her official Ganobhaban residence through video conferencing as the chief guest.
