94 Navy personnel off to South Sudan for peacekeeping

DHAKA, July 12, 2018 (BSS) – The first group of 94 navy personnel left here in the early hours of today for South Sudan to join Force Marine Unit-4 of Bangladesh Navy in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.

On July 19, the second group of 106 Navy personnel will leave Dhaka to join the mission, said an ISPR press release.

The Bangladesh Navy’s unit has been playing an important role in providing security to civilians and to keep going the UN supply system on waterways in South Sudan.
