SIRAJGANJ, Jan 22, 2021 (BSS) -Prime accused of newly-elect councillor
Tarikul Islam Khan murder case was arrested in Dhaka.
“After the arrest, Jahidul Islam, an inhabitant of Beparipara in Sirajganj
district town, gave confessional statement,” said police super of Sirajganj
Hasibul Alam at a press conference held at Sirajganj Sadar police station
this afternoon.
Tarikul Islam was stabbed to death on January 16.
Ekramul Hassan Khan, son of late Tarikul Islam, filed a murder case
accusing 80 people including rival candidate Shahadat Hossain in connection
with the killing.
Earlier, another accused Swapan Bepari was arrested.
