NILPHAMARI, Jan 22, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 637 homeless families of the
district are going to get brick-built houses in the district as a gift from
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The houses have been constructed with the special initiative of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina. The premier will inaugurate the handover of the
houses to homeless families through a videoconference tomorrow.
Of those houses, 99 in Sadar upazila, 34 in Syedpur, 38 in Domar, 185 in
Dimla, 141 in Jaldhaka and 140 in Kishoreganj upazilas, according to district
administration sources.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury said, “It is a
special initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to provide accommodation
to homeless families on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
