RANGPUR, Jan 22, 2021 (BSS) – The district unit of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad (BPUP) with assistance of district administration distributed blankets among 250 cold-hit poor and distressed people of the metropolitan city on Friday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan distributed the blankets in a function arranged strictly abiding by the health directives in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic at Sree Sree Karunamoyee Kalibari Mandir premises in the metropolis as the chief guest.
Presided over by President of Rangpur district unit of BPUP Ajoy Prasad Babon and its General Secretary Dhiman Bhattacharya and Member-secretary of its city unit Advocate Prashanto Kumar Roy addressed the function as special guest.
General Secretary of Rangpur Dharmoshava Partho Bose, Organising Secretary of the district unit of BPUP Taposh Kumar Sarker Pappu, its Finance Secretary Nikhil Kumar Bagchi and Members Shuvo Ranjan Dev Bablu and Gautam Sarker were present, among others.
