PABNA, Jan 22, 2021 (BSS) – At least two people were killed and three others injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Pabna-Sujanagar regional road in Dublia area under Sadar upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Jhontu Kundu, 60, and Arifa Sultana, 45, wife of Abdul Barak. The both are passengers of the auto-rickshaw, said Shafiul Alam, in-charge of Dublia Police Camp.
The accident occurred in the area when the CNG-run auto-rickshaw reached Dublia Bazar area and collided on a truck coming from the opposite direction at around 8am killing Jhontu on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were admitted to Pabna General Hospital and Sujanagar Upazila Health Complex, where on the duty doctor declared Arifa Sultana dead.
Police seized the truck but its driver and helper escaped, police said.
