EC to impose ban on CCC election campaign for 116 hours


CHATTOGRAM, Jan 21, 2021 (BSS) – The Election Commission(EC) will impose a ban on all types of election campaign including meetings, processions and rallies in 41 wards under Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) from midnight on January 25 to midnight on January 29 ahead of CCC elections.

The directive was given in a public notification signed by the returning officer of CCC election today (January 21).

All types of election campaigns including any meeting and procession in 41 wards under CCC will be banned for 32 hours before the start of polling, on the Election Day and 84 hours after the Election Day, according to the 74 no provisions of the Local Government City Election Rules-2010.

The CCC election will be held on January 27.
