Himalayan griffon vulture rescued in Bhola

BHOLA, Jan 19, 2021 (BSS) – Forest department rescued a Himalayan griffon vulture from a village of Elisha union in Sadar upazila today.

The largest birds of the Himalayas, the Himalayan griffon or Himalayan vulture, migrate to Bangladesh every winter to escape the cold weather of Himalaya, said forest officer Aminul Islam.

Aminul Islam said the griffon vulture fell in the yard of a house from a tree at the village and after being informed, the department rescued the bird.
