Myanmar Police Chief meets Home Minister

DHAKA, July 9, 2018 (BSS) – Police Chief of Myanmar Police Brigadier General Myo Than called on Home Minister Advocate Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at the latter’s secretariat office here today.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral issues including repatriation of Rohingyas and smuggling of Yaba tablets into Bangladesh.

The Myanmar Police Chief is leading a four-member delegation. Secretary to the Security Service Division Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Director General (DG) of Coast Guard and other senior officials of the ministry were present at the meeting.

The Myanmar police chief came to Bangladesh on a four-day visit to join a joint Meeting of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and Border Guard Police (BGP) of Myanmar.
