DHAKA, July 09, 2018 (BSS) – A four-day conference between Border Guard
Bangladesh (BGB) and Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) began at BGB
headquarters in Peelkhana here this morning.
An 11-member Myanmar delegation led by Chief of Police General Staff
Brigadier General Myo Than joined the conference, said a press release.
Besides, a 15-member BGB delegation led by BGB Additional Director General
Brigadier General Md Anisur Rahman also joined event.
High officials of Home and Foreign Ministries and Department of Narcotics
Control (DNC) are among Bangladeshi delegation apart from BGB officials.
The agenda of conference are prevention of smuggling of contraband drugs,
stopping intrusion of Myanmar nationals in Bangladesh and others.
A “Joint Record of Discussions (JRD)” will be signed on July 12 on the
last day of the conference.
