Action to be taken for any wrongdoing that can upset people: Hasan
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Joint General
Secretary and Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today asked the
leaders, workers of AL and its affiliated bodes to behave politely
with the people as nothing bad can be done in the name of AL.
He said that action will be taken for any sorts of wrongdoing that
can hurt the mass people.
“Bangladesh has been witnessing huge development under the dynamic
leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, her party AL and
the symbol of boat. There is visible difference between the image of
Bangladesh 10 years ago and the present Bangladesh that has made
progress towards the path of development,” he added.
He was speaking as the virtual chief guest at the tri-annual
conference of Kodala Union AL held at Kodala Bazar under Rangunia
upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.
Union AL President Nasir Uddin presided over the conference while
Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder, General Secretary of Upazila AL,
addressed the function as the main speaker.
Kodala Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Qayum Talukder inaugurated the
event while local AL leaders Badiul Alam Master, Abul Kashem Chisti,
Idris Azgor, Sheikh Farid Uddin Chowdhury, Ariful Islam Chowdhury, Abu
Taher and Kawser Nur Liton, among others, spoke.
Hasan Mahmud said 12 years ago electricity consumption in Rangunia
upazila was only four MW which now reaches 20 MW. “Electricity
connection has reached at each house in the upazila and our country
has changed in every field of development,” he added.
“In case of development and in case of giving various allowances to
the people, it is not considered who belongs which party or which
opinion and path is taken by him. This story of change in development
and change in the socio-economic status of the people should be
reminded to the mass people,” he added.
“New leadership will be created through the conference. The new
leadership will have to bring those who were with the team in
difficult times. This should also be kept in mind when making a full
committee. No intruder or opportunists can be placed in the new
committee”.
