Probationary bankers asked to be efficient

RAJSHAHI, July 9, 2018 (BSS)- Experts have asked newly recruited bankers
to show professional skills and efficiency in performing duties since it is
essential for attaining success in the banking sector.

They stressed the need for making banking activities client-friendly by
ensuring transparency and accountability in providing services.

The speakers were addressing the inaugural session of a 30-day long
foundation training course for 17 newly recruited senior officers and
officers of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its training institute in
Rajshahi on Sunday.

RAKUB Chairman Nazrul Islam addressed the session as the chief guest while
its Managing Director Kazi Alamgir and General Manager Mozammel Haque spoke
as special guests with principal of the institute Ataur Rahman in the chair.

The speakers highlighted the importance of the bank in agricultural
development of the northwest Bangladesh and asked the officers to apply the
knowledge acquired from the training in the professional field properly for
boosting agricultural production in the region.

In this regard, they asked them to discharge their duties with utmost
sincerity and honesty to brighten the image of the bank along with taking it
ahead successfully.

As the largest development partner in the agricultural sector of the
northwest Bangladesh, RAKUB plays a vital role in achieving economic
emancipation and free the nation from poverty and hunger through boosting
credit-flow to the potential agricultural fields.

“You have to build yourselves as competent bankers through the best use of
knowledge you acquired from the training,” said Nazrul Islam. The key
objective of the course was to improve skills and attitude alongside
enhancing professional competence of the officers through disseminating ideas
about operations, administration and other related matters of the bank.
