JAMALPUR, Dec 4, 2020 (BSS) – The construction of eight model mosques involving Taka 100 crore is progressing fast in the district.
According to Islamic Foundation, seven mosques, one each in seven upazilas and another in the district headquarters, are being constructed.
Each of the mosques at the upazila level will be a three-storey building having prayer facility for 1,000 Muslims devotes. On the other hand, a district level mosques will be four storied having facility of prayer for 1300 devotees. Beside, devotees will get modern library facility with various Islamic books.
Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation, Md Abdur Razzak said each of the mosque will have the facility of prayer for 300 female devotees. The construction work will be completed by December next year, he added.
