Resist conspiracies against country in the name of removing sculptures – Murad

DHAKA, Nov 30, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hasan has called for resisting conspiracies to destabilize the country in the name of removing sculptures.

“All progressive forces must be united to resist the extremist militant groups that are conspiring to threaten and create a chaos in the country in the name of removing the sculpture of the Father of the Nation,” a press release here quoted him saying that today noon at a discussion meeting organized by Bangabandhu Academy.

The meeting was organized on the occasion of the 14th death anniversary of Dhaka City Corporation’s first elected mayor Mohammad Hanif at the National Press Club auditorium.

“Bangabandhu is the dream charioteer of independent Bangladesh. As long as Bangladesh exists, Bangabandhu will be shining as a beacon in the consciousness and inspiration of the people of this country,” he added.

He said those who choose the path of anarchy to hinder development must be exposed to the nation by unmasking the evil forces, he said, added the release.

Former Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya addressed the function as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Nazmul Haque, Chairman of Bangabandhu Academy.
Former general secretary of Dhaka metropolitan Awami League Shah Alam Murad, Awami League leader Kamal Chowdhury, Advocate Balaram Poddar were also present, at the meeting.
