KHULNA, Nov 29, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a function stressed the need for enhancing campaign to strengthen public awareness against coronavirus and continuing mobile courts to compel people wear masks to stop further spread of the lethal virus.
They came up with the importance at the function on setting up of Oxyzen Cylinder Bank and High Flow Nasal Cannula at Dakop upazila health complex on Saturday.
The function coincided a discussion meeting on preventing coronavirus and awareness building at Dakop upazila auditorium here.
Secretary of the Cabinet Division (Coordination & Reform) Md Kamal Hossain called upon all concerned to toughen campaign to create mass awareness against Coronavirus (COVID-19) to effectively face this deadly virus while addressing the event as the chief guest.
Chaired by Khulna deputy commissioner Md Helal Hossain, the meeting was addressed, among others, by line director of the Directorate of Health Dr. Md Shamsul Haque, Dakop Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Monsur Ali Khan, deputy civil surgeon Dr Md Saydul Islam and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mintu Biswas.
Kamal Hossain also urged to maintain health guidelines, set up by the government, against coronavirus.
He said that all the divisions, departments and agencies of the government have been working relentlessly to contain this deadly virus.
He also said, “If the leaders in the society wear masks, then the common people will feel more encouraged to wear masks”.
Helal Hossain said Oxygen Cylinder Bank and High Flow Nasal Cannula will also be set up in remain eight upazilas in the district accordingly.
