Foundation training for 200 firefighters begins in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Nov 29, 2020 (BSS) – The foundation training course for around 200 newly recruited firefighters of 59th batch began here aimed at making them efficient to extinguish fire and conduct other rescue works.

Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) organized the five-month long foundation training at its Rajshahi Divisional Headquarters.

The opening ceremony of the course was held on the office premises of FSCD’s Rajshahi divisional headquarter on Saturday evening.

FSCD Director (Administration and Finance) Habibur Rahman addressed the event as the chief guest, while its Deputy Director Saiful Islam, Assistant Director Abdur Rashid and Sub Assistant Director Jakir Hossain spoke as the special guests.

In his remarks, Habibur Rahman urged the newly recruited firefighters to perform duties with utmost sincerity and honesty after training maximizing the best uses of their knowledge acquired from the foundation course for overall development of the nation.

Main motto of the fire service is speed, service and devotion and the job nature of the FSCD is different to many other works that should be kept in mind always, he added.

Director Rahman said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much positive towards development of FSCD along with its modernization.

Earlier, the chief guest reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute at the impressive march past. Warehouse Inspector Omor Faruque led the parade.
