Call for social movement to stop violence against women

Netrakona Nov 25, 2020 (BSS) – Leaders of Mohila Parishad in a press conference here today called upon all to come forward for building social movement to put an end to rape, sexual harassment and all sorts of violence against women.

They underlined the need for concerted efforts of people of all walks of life to raise strong resistance to prevent violence against women side by side removing all the barriers including superstitions, illiteracy and fundamentalism on the way to ensure women empowerment.

District Mohila Parishad organised the press conference at it’s new town road office in the district town to mark the International Women Repression Prevention Fortnight.

Front ranking leaders of the organization including vice president Parvin Sultana and general secretary Taheza Begum Ani addressed the press conference.
