Team Russia makes appeal to fans on eve of qtrfinal game vs Croatia
SOCHI, July 7, 2018 (BSS/TASS) – Team Russia has made an appeal to its fans, promising them to do its utmost in Saturday quarterfinals game vs Croatia and to put every effort into victory.
It published the appeal in Twitter. “Friends, we have a strong wish to prolong our stay in this championship and we’ll do everything in our power for this purpose,” the appeal said.
“We promise to strain every sinew, to give our best efforts to victory and to do even more than this. We draw inspiration from your support. You are the best fans in the world and we love and praise you.”
Team Russia won 4-3 vs Spain on penalties in the knockouts. For the first time in the history of FIFA World Cup championships, it has reached the quarterfinals.
Russia and Croatia play the match at 21:00 hours Moscow Standard Time [18:00 hours UTC] on Saturday at Fisht stadium in Sochi.
