CHATTOGRAM, July 7, 2018 (BSS) – Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has
taken up two projects worth about TK 1,464.48 crore to construct a bus
terminal and a residential colony for its conservancy employees, an official

The construction work of the proposed bus terminal is expected to begin in
December next in Kulgaon area on outskirts of the city to stop indiscriminate
parking of public transports on city streets, CCC chief engineer Lieutenant
Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed told BSS.

He said the corporation will construct the terminal at a cost of TK 1230.74
crore on eight acres of land in line with Chattogram Development Authority’s
(CDA) master plan.

CCC has taken another project of TK 233.74 crore to construct a colony for
its conservancy staffs in the city for resolving their nagging accommodation
problems.

Ahmed said the site for bus terminal at Kulgaon has been finalized after
the coordination meeting with Roads and Highways Department, Chattogram
Development Authority (CDA), Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA),
Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) and Department of Environment (DoE).

He added the projects now are waiting for approval from the Executive
Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), hoping that the two
projects are expected to be approved by this month.

He further said CCC will be able to complete tender procedure by October,
adding the construction work of the two projects is expected to be completed
within next two years.

bridges will also be developed within very short time, the chief engineer
