KHULNA, July 6, 2018 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister Naryan Chandra Chanda here today stressed the need for continuing ongoing development spree in the country.
He said the present government does not believe in words but in works and added the country is marching ahead in all sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of a road development work worth around Tk 66 lakh from Chuknagar Dalit Hospital to Ali Morol’s residence at South Chuknagar under Dumuria upazila in the district.
The minister said construction of roads from zero point of Khulna to Satkhira is progressing fast. Besides, re-excavating of the rivers Vadra and the Shalta is nearing completion.
Dumuria upazila chairman Shahnaz Begum, Atlia UP chairman advocate Protap Roy and project implementing officer Ashraf Hossain were present, among others.
Later, the minister visited Daspara Radha Gobinda Mandir.
Earlier, the minister distributed CI sheets and cheque for Tk 2.25 lakh among the victims of natural disasters and fire on Dumuria Upazila Parishad premises.
