Three envoys present credentials to President

DHAKA, March 29, 2017 (BSS) -Ambassadors designate of Georgia, Romania and Ukraine to Bangladesh separately presented their credentials to President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here this afternoon.

The all non-resident envoys are: Archil Dzuliashvili of Georgia, Radu Octavian DOBRE of Romania, Dr Igor Polikha of Ukraine.

Welcoming the ambassadors, the President said the foreign policy of “Bangladesh is friendship to all and malice to none” and it attaches importance to bilateral relations.

He hoped the bilateral relations with the countries will further be expanded during their assignments here, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told journalists.

President Hamid said Bangladesh produces world-class pharmaceuticals, textiles, ceramic products, jute and jute-made materials and hides.

“Country’s export earning is gradually increasing these days,” he mentioned.

The President urged the ambassadors to take pragmatic steps to enhance the bilateral relations and expand trade and investment potentials between Bangladesh and the three countries.

The envoys told the President that they would do everything necessary to enhance bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh in the days to come.

Lauding prevailing socio-economic development of Bangladesh, the ambassadors sought all-out cooperation to their respective works in Bangladesh.

Secretaries concerned to the President were present.

Earlier, on their arrival at Bangabhaban, the envoys were given guards of honour separately by a smartly turned-out contingent of the President’s Guard Regiment (PGR).
