BHOLA, Nov 8, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has extended her cooperative hands to the teachers amid the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave financial assistance to teachers of the country’s educational institutions as well as Imams and Muajjins of mosques across the country irrespective of political identity during this pandemic,” he said.
The veteran politician made the comments while addressing a virtual discussion from his residence in Dhaka, marking the inauguration of the newly built ICT Bhaban of Altazer Rahman Degree College at Charnoabad in the Sadar upazila.
Tofail urged all to refrain from intra conflict and ensure peaceful co-existence of all in the society.
He also urged all to remain alert against the social menaces like rape and drug abuse at village and union levels, saying that the guardians should be more careful to save the youths from moral degradation.
With President of Altazer Rahman Degree College’s Board of Directors Golam Nabi Alamgir in the chair, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Mosharef Hossain and noted educationist Ruhul Amin Jahangir.
