DSCC starts cleaning Shyampur canal
DHAKA, Nov 6, 2020 (BSS) – The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) authority has started cleaning work of all Shyampur canal today.
Engineering department, Department of Equipment Management is helping the DSCC Waste Management department in the cleaning drive, said a press release.
Besides, cleaning activities of Dhanmondi lake have started from November 1.
A total of hundred cleaners are taking part in the cleaning drive, said DSCC’s Chief Waste Management Officer Air Commodore Md Badrul Amin.
Earlier, DSCC mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh announced to clean up all water bodies under DSCC.
The cleaning activities would play an effective role in the prevention of mosquitoes in addition to solving water-logging problems.
