DSCC evicts over 20 illegal establishments in Dhanmondi area
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2020 (BSS) – A mobile court run by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today conducted a drive in city’s Dhanmondi Lake and its adjacent areas and evicted more than 20 illegal establishments, including a police box.
DSCC Executive Magistrate AHM Irfan Uddin Ahmed conducted the drive aiming at evicting all illegal structures in Dhanmondi area under the Ward No 15 of Zone-1, said a press release.
During the drive, the mobile court also fined a person Taka 5,000 for running illegal shops in the area.
Meanwhile, as part of routine mosquito control operations, two more mobile courts of DSCC conducted drives in Dhanmondi area under Ward No 15 of Zone-1 and Bamoil area of Demra under Ward No 66 of Zone 8.
DSCC Executive Magistrates Md Kazi Faysal and Ferdous Wahid conducted the drives in 15 No. Ward and 66 No. Ward under the city corporation area respectively.
During the drive, Faysal visited 31 establishments and found Aedes mosquito larvae at one establishment while he filed a case and fined Taka 25,000 in this regard.
Besides, Ferdous visited 45 establishments and found Aedes mosquito larvae at three establishments while he filed three cases and fined Taka 21,500 in this regard.
