DHAKA, Nov 1, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain today said the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the reconstruction of war-torn Bangladesh is a rare example in the history of the world.

He was presenting the keynote paper at a seminar on “Bangabandhu’s contribution to the reconstruction of war-torn Bangladesh”, organized by the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center in Savar on the occasion of the Mujib Year, said a press release.

He said that in 1971, Pakistanis carried out the most brutal and barbaric destruction in the history of this country. As a result, all sectors of the country including agriculture, economy, education and infrastructure faced destruction. From that stage Bangabandhu reorganized Bangladesh in a short time through his visionary leadership, he said.

“Bangabandhu’s strong leadership enabled him to win international support in a very short period of time for the reconstruction of the war-torn country. Due to Bangabandhu’s sincerity, Bangladesh got an opportunity to renew its internal development and progress by increasing trade relations with neighboring countries and resolving bilateral issues,” he said.

Prominent novelist Selina Hossain and Additional Secretary (APD) of the Ministry of Public Administration Md. Mokammel Hossain participated in the discussion conducted by BPATC Member Directing Staff Syed Mizanur Rahman.
